Youth Survey

There’s no doubt that young people have an essential and significant role to play in our community. Your creativity, ideas, energy and perspectives result in innovative solutions to complex problems. Since the City prides itself on innovation, leadership, inclusion and vibrancy, we want to encourage you to reach your highest potential for your future and the community.

In 2016, 17% of Stirling residents fell into the 10 to 24 years age bracket. This increases when including those working, going to school and/or hanging out in the area.

We’re committed to ensuring our young people feel valued, heard and engaged in the issues and decisions that matter most to them.

With this in mind, we’re looking at ways to support you to ensure:

  • your health and wellbeing are enhanced through access to opportunities, information, networks and services that closely meet your needs,
  • you can drive positive change in your communities through contributing your knowledge, skills and abilities,
  • your capacity is developed to its highest level to become future leaders,
  • you can engage with your community and develop a sense of social connectedness through the City’s community spaces, facilities and services, and
  • you can fully participate in community life through an inclusive community that celebrates your diversity.

The City provides services, facilities and programs that support young people to help them become connected members of their community and enjoy great lives.

With our environment and technology changing so quickly, we want to know whether there’s anything else we can be doing to support you.

We are getting in touch with young people, their families and carers to find this out and appreciate your feedback!

The feedback we receive will guide the actions for a Youth Framework Implementation Plan.
