Draft Strategic Community Plan 2018–2028

Consultation has concluded

The Strategic Community Plan (Plan) sets out an ambitious and achievable vision for the development of the City over the next 10 years and beyond.

It is an important document that informs the work the City undertakes by guiding Council decisions on matters such as projects, services and operational expenditure.

The City's first Plan was informed by a study of the demographic, social, environmental and economic trends and developed through an extensive community consultation exercise. It was adopted by Council in 2013 and reviewed in 2016.

Draft Strategic Community Plan 2018–2028

A major review of the Plan commenced in August 2017 to ensure it still remains relevant and reflective of the community's needs.

An extensive engagement strategy was undertaken, which involved community workshops, online surveys and consultation with key stakeholders.

The community's ideas and feedback were collated and analysed and together with an analysis of trends and drivers impacting the City, have been reflected in the Draft Strategic Community Plan 2018–2028 (Draft Plan).

The City sought feedback from the community on the Draft Plan. The results are currently being collated and will be used to inform the final Draft Plan that will be submitted to Council for approval in August 2018.
