Heritage Incentives Program

** APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE **

Once a year, the City invites heritage classified properties to submit an application for one or more incentives as part of the City’s Heritage Incentives Program.

Properties must be registered on the City’s Heritage List or be categorised as 1 or 2A on the Local Heritage Survey in order to apply for the program.

The available incentives include:

Heritage Restoration Grant

The heritage restoration grants have been developed to demonstrate the City of Stirling’s commitment to property owners who want to contribute to the retention and enhancement of buildings on the City’s heritage list and those categorised as 1 or 2A on the City's Local Heritage Survey.

Heritage Rates Concessions

Owners of rateable residential and commercial properties included on the City’s Heritage List can apply for a discount on their general rates charge, to assist with the care and maintenance of their property.

Technical Advice

The provision of pre-lodgement technical heritage advice for Heritage Listed properties allows the City's Senior Heritage Officer to provide conservation and development advice on the property prior to a formal development application.

Development Application Fee Waiver (NEW)

Owners of a rateable residential or commercial property, that is included in the City of Stirling Heritage List only, can apply for Development Application Fee Waivers when applying for a Heritage Grant, subject to meeting a number of requirements.
