Proposed speed humps in Kaiser Lane, Scarborough

Consultation has concluded

Owners and residents of properties abutting Kaiser Lane in Scarborough, and who have received a letter about this project are invited to provide feedback on the installation of speed humps by 5.00pm Friday 14 December 2018.

Description

The City is investigating the installation of speed humps within Kaiser Lane, East of Duke Street (between Sackville Terrace to Newborough Street) in Scarborough.

This is due to feedback received from residents residing on Kaiser Lane about the number of vehicles speeding along the laneway since its upgrade.

We would like to hear from property owners and residents who have received a letter of notification, to determine whether the installation of speed humps is supported or not.

Who will decide whether the speed humps are installed in this laneway?

The owners and residents of abutting properties will decide whether the speed humps are installed in this section of Kaiser Lane. For submissions to count, it must include a Unique ID, which is included in the notification letter.

The speed humps will only be installed if the majority of submissions received support their installation.

If the majority of property owners and residents do not support the installation of speed humps within the laneway, they will not be installed.

Please note, the City considers all non-responses as having no objection to either the installation, or non-installation of the speed humps within this section of Kaiser Lane. The level of support for or against the speed humps will be determined by the number of responses received only.
